frequently Asked Questions
Pregnancy can seem scary and inevitably brings lots of questions. Part of our mission at the Bridge Wellness South is to educate as well as provide resources to our community. Our Frequently Asked Questions page may not answer all possible questions, but our hope is to provide clarity and help. For more questions not listed below, contact us at 770-957-8288.
When should I get an ultrasound?
If you’ve received a positive pregnancy test from us, your next step is to schedule a no-cost ultrasound exam.
How do I know if I am pregnant?
A missed period is usually the first sign of pregnancy although there are other symptoms. If you suspect you might be pregnant, schedule your free pregnancy test with us.
What are the signs of an STD?
Many STDs and STIs have no immediate symptoms. They can lead to dangerous consequences if left unchecked. We recommend you get tested at least once a year and before you have sex with a new partner.
What is the cost? What insurance do you accept?
Because we are supported by our community, we can offer all of our services free of cost to you. Because of this, we do not bill to insurance.
Do I need an ID?
To provide medical services, you will need to bring a photo ID with you to your appointment.
Do you take walk-ins?
We do accept walk-in appointments for pregnancy testing. You may also call or make an online appointment for pregnancy testing. However, you must call or come to the office to schedule an appointment for any other services.
What Education do you offer?
We offer education through our Invest Parent Prep Program. The Invest Parent Prep Program is designed to prepare parents for pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, life skills, relationships, and parenting through the BrightCourse curriculum.
How Do I Access the baby boutique?
To access the boutique, clients participate in our Invest Parent Prep Program, where they earn points by attending parenting classes, mentoring sessions, and workshops. These points can then be used to “shop” in the boutique for needed baby supplies. For more information, visit https://thebridgewellness.org/boutique-shopping/.
